Här sitter man och pickerar en krage, ett rofyllt arbete som tog mig kanske tre timmar allt som allt. Kragen är uppbyggd av två lager mellanlägg av linnekanvas som pickeras fast med svart bomullstråd vid yttertyget av svart meltonull. På rätsidan bildar stygnen små fördjupningar. Here I am pad stitching a collar, a pleasantly relaxing task which took me some three hours in all. The collar is constructed by pad stitching two inner layers of linen canvas to an outer shell of black melton cloth, using dark cotton thread. The stiches are visible as rows of tiny dots on the outer fabric. If you’re curious about how it works, there’s of course a youtube tutorial guiding you through it
